Digital travel platform Agoda, headquartered in Singapore, has rolled out AI-powered travel tools including intelligent image-based hotel search with automated guest review matching and real-time flight tracking. The updates also include expanded multilingual support and a consolidated multi-product booking engine.

Singapore-headquartered digital travel platform Agoda has launched a suite of new features powered by artificial intelligence, bringing real-time flight updates, intelligent hotel browsing, and streamlined multi-product booking to its iOS and Android apps. The rollout marks a significant product refresh for one of Southeast Asia's largest online travel agencies, serving millions of travellers across more than 6 million properties and 130,000 flight routes worldwide.
Agoda's new AI-powered hotel search introduces Gallery View on iOS, which lets users browse results photo-first rather than list-first. The feature automatically pairs hotel images with relevant guest reviews, so when a user looks at a photo of a pool, a room type, or a restaurant, they immediately see what other guests have said about that specific feature. This eliminates the friction of cross-referencing photos with separate review sections. On the flights side, the app now sends real-time push notifications with gate numbers, terminal changes, check-in counter updates, and baggage carousel information throughout the journey.
The company also expanded language support for flight-related chat queries to include Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, and Hong Kong users, connecting travellers to assistance in their preferred language. Agoda's multi-product booking engine now allows travellers to book hotels, flights, and activities in a single transaction, with all trip components visible in the unified 'My Trips' section. The updates were announced as part of Agoda's quarterly product cycle, with Chief Product Officer Ittai Chorev emphasizing that "having the right information at the right time reduces stress."
The travel industry has been an early adopter of generative AI and machine learning, with companies using the technology for dynamic pricing, personalised recommendations, and automated customer service. Agoda's parent company Booking Holdings has invested heavily in AI infrastructure, and the Singapore team has been at the centre of product innovation, leveraging the city-state's deep pool of engineering and data science talent to build features deployed globally.
Why it matters for Singapore: Agoda's continued investment in AI-powered travel features reinforces Singapore's position as a hub for regional tech product development. While the features serve a global audience, the engineering and product decisions are made in Singapore, contributing to the city-state's growing reputation as a base for AI-driven consumer technology companies. For the local tech ecosystem, this represents another proof point that Singapore-based teams can build world-class AI products adopted by millions.
